Catriona MacDonald is a Scottish fiddle player from the Shetland Isles (in the far north of Scotland). A pupil of the late Tom Anderson from childhood, she has moved on to be a leading exponent of the Shetland fiddle tradition in Scotland and abroad. As well as her own albums, MacDonald has played with Scottish fiddle band Blazin' Fiddles, the female fiddle band String Sisters and folk big band The Unusual Suspects.
