Carnassials is a solo project that Brandon Och (controlled storms, lost eras in aviation, cops on nags) recorded in early 2008. It began as songs written for cops on nags and became something of an obsession with writing something based mainly on a thick, distorted bass tone and intense, chaotic percussion. The songs are aggressive, experimental and dark, but at times they become ethereal or even ambient.
