CHVM (Chór Vážskych Muzikantov = Choir of Váh musicians; Váh is the name of the Slovak river) is Slovak rock/new wave/punk alternative band from Trenčín city. They play together since 1980 with only minor personal changes. As one of the first Slovak alternative rock bands, they were inspiration for some well-known Slovak groups (Bez Ladu a skladu, Karpatské Chrbáty). Nevertheless, CHVM itself never became such famous. They recorded over twenty albums (most of them were released as DIY bootlegs), and played on some rock festivals in Slovakia and Czech Republic (including famous Pohoda festival).
