Buzz and the Flyers originated in Columbus, Ohio where Buzz had unsuccessfully tried to put together the kind of band that captured the spirit and humour of the 1950s rock 'n' roll bands. Realising that he would have to go to New York City to find what he wanted, Buzz sold his beloved 1960 Studebaker Lark to finance his trip. Michael Gene, and old friend from Cleveland was infact the first on board, a guitarist combining styles ranging from Scotty Moore to Chuck Berry, with a bit of jazz thrown in for good measure.
