Big Nick and the Matras formed in 2006 after Nick Matra, Vocalist / Keyboardist for the band Journey Into Ryan, left the band to start his solo career. After going through many bands and mucisians who just couldn't handle Nicks incredible grasp on the art of Music enough to keep up with his vocal abilities, Nick located drummer Michael Henahan through a local modeling show.
