The Bandaband was formed in 1998 in Ostrava, CZ. Initial core consisted of Martin Rek (guitar, vocals), and Lada Georgiev (violin, mandoline, vocals), who played together in different groups for more than 25 years. Later joined Milan Sykorovsky (bass) and drummer Jirka Smrcka changed by Pepik Smida in 2002. In spring 2007 joined saxofonist Tomas Zetek and Adam Rek (percussion). As a guest plays together with the band somethimes excellent ostravish bluesharp player Ivan "Oskar" Kraina.
