AUTOMUSIK is primarily influenced by the early European electronic and industrial music scene of the late seventies and early eighties. It's a loving tribute to bands such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and New Order. However AUTOMUSIK merely uses that as a prism to filter it's wry social commentary and opinions about contemporary pop-culture morays. Like many other contemporary comedic musical acts such as Tenacious D or Flight of the Conchords, AUTOMUSIK wraps it's pithy commentary in a layer of catchy hooks that blurs the line between novelty music and popular music.
