The project took inspiration from a variety of different bands and styles with influences including Slowdive, Ride, The Cure, Sigur Ros, M83 and The Chameleons but also drawing on the 'pop rush' of classic bands like New Order, The Stone Rose and The Smiths. The project was discontinued in 2011 and Electric Starlight was born.
