Atsutada Otaka (尾高惇忠; Tokyo, March 10, 1944) is a Japanese composer and music educator. Otaka studied composition at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (now the Tokyo University of the Arts). He graduated there in 1966, and following with a scholarship from the French government, he was able to study at the Paris Conservatory where he graduated in 1970. From 1971 he became a lecturer at his alma mater, Tokyo University of the Arts and in 1986, became a professor at this institution.
