Everything began when Boris (drums) and Jim (guitar/vocals) met at the Hultsfred festival 2009 through a mutual friend. They decided to start playing music together and soon found bassist Frans. In fall 2010 the three of them started the new group Astronauterna. They prefer to call their music "Swing-Punk" because it's got swing, with basslines bringing to mind big band jazz of yesteryear, while at the same time being raw and energetic, with messy guitars and wild drumming à la Keith Moon.
