Ashley Sloggett was born in Hamilton, Ontario, but currently resides in the neighbouring suburb of Burlington, Ontario. She is classically trained in a variety of vocal styles, plays a Taylor acoustic guitar as her primary accompaniment, and is sometimes found playing a wine-red Fender Telecaster. Ashley came onto the music scene as a solo artist in 2005, when she released her debut EP, simply titled "The Demos".
