Ashish Joshi has been playing tabla for the past 25 years, ever since viewing his first concert at the age of 10. He plays tabla, santoor, conga, darbukah, harmonium and cajon. He began his training under the guidance of Jeram Bhana. Four years of training in the classical form of the art of percussion led Ashish to take part in an eastern wold music quartet called ‘Aavaaz’. Two years on, he formed the duo Strings and Skins and released an album of the same name.
