VELVET is the fourth studio album by American singer Adam Lambert and his first full-lenght project in 5 years, serving as a follow-up to The Original High (2015). It was released on March 20, 2020 through More Is More/Empire Distribution to critical acclaim, scoring a 84/100 rating on Metacritic.
Variety stated "Adam has made VELVET a testament to finding his way, personally and professionally, in what is his most accomplished solo work to date".
Preceding the album, six tracks had been previously released on the EP VELVET: Side A (2019), as well as the standalone singles "Feel Something", "New Eyes", and "Comin In Hot".
VELVET features production from Tommy English, Steve Booker, Noise Club, Butch Walker, and Fred Ball. It ventures through a myriad of music genres such as funk rock, glam rock and disco.
