Predator was Accept's last album before their hiatus from 1997, and their last recording with singer Udo Dirkschneider. Accept is a German heavy metal band from Solingen, formed in 1976 by guitarist Wolf Hoffmann, vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, and bassist Peter Baltes. The group has its origins in the late 1960s under the earlier name Band X. Over the years, Accept has undergone numerous lineup changes. Hoffmann is the only original member to remain in the band and has performed on all of its albums.
