The possibility of a musical career never entered his mind until he saw a movie about what he considered the greatest band of the sixties, The Temptations. While in ninth grade, Ar4i met his first mentor, then an instructor for beginning singers at The Theater of Lesi Ukrainki, who helped him along with three girls, form the band which became known as Karlin.
