Alk-e-d is the name for Darren Maycock, a breakbeat hardcore DJ and producer known for his work on Kniteforce Records and latterly KFA. He was friends with Kniteforce Records owner Luna-C before the start of the label and even before Luna-C's group Smart E's was formed. He was one of the first artists on the label and is very much considered part of the "Kniteforce crew", still producing music for KFA, Luna-C's current label which was born in 2001.
