French stoner-rock band from Limoges. All Channels Off’ is a record that oozes Queens Of The Stone Age and Foo Fighters. All clichés about French rock can be dismissed. Singer Julien Barnard manages to pronounce his English lyrics as well as any other European rock singer. Even better, because you can hardly hear he is French. The first two songs, ‘All Channels Off’ and the seamlessly fitting ‘Loaded (Burnt)’ are fully from the QOTSA perspective. On ‘Submarine’ there seems to be a shift towards Pearl Jam, without losing their own sound – as far as there is one.
