Lee Kyung-eun, popularly known as Ha Ri-su, was born February 17th, 1975. She is a singer, TV star and actress from South Korea. Her stage name is a Korean adaptation of the phrase "hot issue". Lee was born in Seongnam, near Seoul. In 1997-98, she moved to Japan. While there, she had sex reassignment surgery and began studying to become a hairdresser. She also began singing in Japanese clubs. It was while singing in Japan that she got her first break, being recruited by an agent in 1999.
