Akiko Nishimura (西村亜希子, real name: Akiko Iwakawa) is an enka singer and actress from Osaka, Japan. Before becoming a professional singer, Nishimura appeared in several theatrical productions. She released her first single, "Oyakozake" (「父娘酒」), on BMG Victor in 1985. In 1999, Nishimura signed with Crown Records, her first recording with the label being "Shinobukawa" (「忍ぶ川」).
