Takashi Nishioka (born May 27th 1944) is a Japanese musician from Osaka. He first found fame with the folk band Itsutsu No Akai Fuusen (5 Red Balloons), with whom he played from 1967 to 1972, during which time he also played as a solo artist. After the band broke up he released his first solo LP 'Manin No Ki' in 1973, a folk LP with some psychedelic touches and home recordings. Since then he has made solo records and occasionally collaborated with (or produced) other artists.
