Harumi Kurenai (紅晴美, born 26 December 1953) is a Japanese enka singer and songwriter from Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. After graduating from high school, Kurenai went to college in Tokyo and took a degree in music, and worked as a piano teacher. After winning some contests around her hometown, Kurenai released her first independent single, "Yuki no Sato" (「雪の里」) in 1995. In 2009, Kurenai made her major label début on Victor Records with "Namida no Misaki" (「涙の岬」). Kurenai writes her own lyrics and composes her own music as well, something that is rare for an enka singer.
