Мајовци (Majovci) is a traditional-music ensemble from Macedonia, whose music focuses on the zurla and tapan. This family belongs to Mijaci (Mijačite) people, situated mainly in Debar and Galichnik in Western Macedonia. Usage of zurla and tapan is widespread in Balkans. Their music resembles the one from Pirin and Trakiya and Caucasus area, especially Armenian, as well as from Uzbek, Azerbaijani and Iranian regions, although it is more complex in odd rhythms and tempo; yet Mijak's origin is questionable.
