"Карибасы"/"Caribace" (reduction of "Карибские асы"/"The Caribbean aces") is one of St. Petersburg's cult groups in russian reggae culture. It formed in 1987 when Philipp Nikanorov (Philja) met Dmitry Vasiljev (Dim Dimych). At first "Карибасы" played ska, then reggae and dub music. In 1999 the group released their first studio album.
