Вихрь (a russian word, meaning whirlwind, vortex) is a solo project of Dmitrij Silov. The name is commonly transcribed Vihr in Lithuania, the country of origin. The music is best described as experimental, mixing together acoustic, electrically amplified and natively electronic instruments. In 2005 Vihr released an album, "Точка насыщения" ("Saturation Point"), so far the only official one. Since then, the core member has moved from Lithuania to Moscow, Russian Federation. Dmitrij has stated there are no plans of discontinuing the project.
