Τρύπες was created in 1983 when Γιώργος Καρράς (Giorgos Karras) and Γιάννης Αγγελάκας (Giannis Aggelakas) wrote their first, post-punk influenced lyrics. Μιχάλης Κανατίδης (Michalis Kanatidis) on guitar and Κώστας Φλωροσκούφης (Kostas Floroskoufis) on drums accompanied them at their first appearance.
