He is a Greek Rom (gypsy), considered one of the best contemporary solo clarinettists in Greece. His style and technique, using complex scales over a modal harmonic background, slides, and unexpected changes, and his interpretational and modal improvisational ability have brought him success not only in Greece but throughout Europe and America.
