Legendary, Such an iconic album that's extremely underrated. So much emotion, messages, iconic instrumental, an album you can't miss. With tracks like "No Son Of Mine, Jesus He Knows Me, Driving The Last Spike, Way of The World, Dreaming while you sleep and so many other's you literally can't say it gets the credits it deserves. Literally, One of my favorites, and glad I have a copy. They'll never be anything alike Genesis, a true one-of-a-kind band.

Progsters probably don't like this album, but I think this is a pretty good album, not an incredible one, but it has good stuff in it

It's a good album. Sure, it's not one of the albums I first think of when I think of this band, in fact, it's kind of an afterthought. Half of the album sounds like Genesis, the other half sounds like Collins' solo work, which isn't a bad thing at all. It's a very mature album, with some very heartfelt songs on it. "Fading Lights" is a very fitting end to Collins' tenure in the group. I'm a HUGE fan of the 70s, 80s and 90s Genesis stuff. Why can't it all be good? Why do the prog rock elitists tell us what to think? That goes for Yes too, they made some great stuff in the 80s and 90s as well.

v If that's a serious question, try any album between '70-'76 (from Trespass through A Trick of the Tail).

No album with Driving the Last Spike and Fading Lights can be all bad. And even the much poppier stuff is great, like Hold On My Heart.

The advantage of this over Invisible Touch is Nick Davis' better production (finally, more punch to the drums instead of eighties gated reverb!) and Phil getting back behind the kit instead of letting drum machines take over most of the album. Plus, "Jesus He Knows Me" and "I Can't Dance" are funny. And fuckin' hell, do that many people REALLY think "Driving the Last Spike" and "Fading Lights" are *pop*? Yeesh, stop forgetting Genesis always had at *least* one token prog song on their albums.

Some nice lyrical work on this album, although disjointedly counterpointed against some overly sugar-coated pop. But hey, I guess that worked for The Smiths so why not.

FireSaiyan0013 : yeah, so oldschool you favour their two most recent pop efforts. Please, oldschool would be saying The Musical Box is your favourite Genesis song :P
