Hey! I thought of another recommendation for you.. I checked through your library and it looks like you haven't heard the albums "Clear Hearts Grey Flowers" by Jack of Jill and "So Long, Scarecrow" by Scarling yet. You should give them a listen sometime, I have a feeling you'll really enjoy them both!

Yeah she actually played with the new band last year in Seattle for Bumbershoot and I didn't end up going. I agree that it's kinda weird for her to reform the band with none of the other original members, but I'm also not surprised. :P And as far as choosing music goes... that's a really good question and also kind of tough to answer. If I had to say by genre, I really like shoegaze, dream pop, psych folk, slowcore, ambient music, electronica... I'm pretty much open to anything outside of that too, I guess I just look for good quality in music? I love good female vocalists, good production in records, a melancholy vibe... things like that. The more I think about it, my favorite records tend to be those that change the way I think about music. I like things that challenge me. And there's also a healthy dose of nostalgia in there too. :) And you're listening to Mazzy Star, awesome!

It's funny that you mention Espers, Greg Weeks from that band actually helped Marissa Nadler with one of her albums! I'm a big fan of theirs too, especially "The Weed Tree" where they do a cover of a Nico song. :) But yeah, her music is definitely a genre that's kind of difficult to define. It crosses a really thin line between dream pop and folk... kind of in the same vein as Mazzy Star I suppose? Just less psychedelic.

Hey there, it has been a long time indeed! It's great to hear from you again. I'm glad I'm still on your friends list. :) It is really sad about Broadcast for sure, I was a big fan of theirs and Trish's death was as much a surprise for me as I imagine it probably was for the rest of her fans as well. Nico on the other hand is also amazingly talented. Her later trilogy of albums (Marble Index, Desertshore, The End...) are absolutely amazing. It's too bad that she only did one album with the Velvet Underground, but I really like White Light/White Heat too since it's so dark and experimental. I haven't gotten around to listening to PJ Harvey's new album yet but seeing how much you've played it I'll definitely have to check it out! I hope everything is going well for you too.

Just popping by to say hello. It's all your fault that I started listening to ethereal tag radio a couple years ago! I noticed that you uploaded some pictures to the Faith and the Muse page and was like, hey, I know that guy!

Hey, thank you very much! I really enjoyed BC's stuff, I had no clue about it. Though the vocals are different from Memoirs, it looks like a solid album, with cool different influences in there. Well now I'm in serious debt :D I'll check out your charts in the next few days and see if I can recommend you something you may like. About Project Bluebook: I knew about it but I still have to check it out, just listened to a few songs, I'll buy it eventually. Thanks again, see you^^

Hi!I read your shout about LightballSystem in the 3rd&theMortal's page a few months ago. Well, thanks for the recommendation, but now their myspace is down. Do you know anything? By chance did you saved their mp3? Thx, I used to listen to them on the myspace page. I hope they've not already split-up, I loved their style.
