I'm a big Vacant fan. I saw that you've listened to a bit of his stuff. I see you haven't listened to his Lost Projects, Vol 1 album and that was one of my favorites last year. I'd also recommend checking out his tracks Highway, Fearless, and maybe Apart. I spent last year going through Bucky's discography and he's got some really good tracks and I'd say he feels a bit more unpolished than Vacant, but he has a lot of fun tracks. Really love his album Come Back specifically. I started listening to Volor Flex this year and he creates a similar soundscape to Burial. For him, I haven't fully explored every track but I'd say check out the album Unlit. I think it's his most cohesive and overall solid album. I've dabbled with Synkro, Blut Own, and a few others who fall under the future garage umbrella but none of them have hooked me as much as those 3 and Sorrow. Random side note, but your page made me want to get back into Koan Sound, I was a huge fan during the early 2010s.

Also throwing a shout out to Stumbleine and then his collab projects with Swarms. I've always loved Stumbleine, but never checked out Swarms until very recently. Swarms just started releasing new music again and I am in love with the track Mourner which came out in January this year.

I'll be checking all of this out this weekend thank you very much for the recommendations, looking forward to listening :) Vacant specifically has been on my radar but I got too fixated on Sorrow recently lol. I would definitely recommend giving KOAN Sound another listen - basically everything they've released is great but my personal favourite projects of theirs are Polychrome, Intervals Above, Forgotten Myths, and Led By Ancient Light. LBAL is more of a story-focused album, a bit different from the rest of their stuff but it is fantastic. Also they've done some collabs with Asa, Sorrow, Culprate, and Opiuo for the Inspeced Records Movember Collection which imo are some of the greatest songs ever made (reposted cuz the formatting was messed up)

unique specimen you are

real, Fischl and Hu Tao are my favourite hoyo characters and yea fox girls are elite, Tamamo-no-mae my beloved...

Thanks so much for the in-depth response! I’ll be sure to check out all the music you recommended 🤝

No worries mate, happy to help :) hope you enjoy!

yh I think he's released since, and it's doing fairly well unfortunately :/ wish that spotlight would go to some underappreciated artists instead!

lmk if you find anything similar that's good

yessir will do

They're really good so I'd say they're worth reading. I normally prefer anime for a lot of reasons, but idk how long it's gonna take for new adaptations so I just decided to read instead. The anime is really faithful to the books though so the content should be the same regardless

yeah, theres no confirmed s3 yet so i should probably just pick up the LN

very based, lmk if you do decide to pick it up

hello again

turned out to be not true :)
