You have more Gram Parsons plays than anyone else I know on here. Can to recommend where to start, solo stuff or bands? Albums?

I'm not putting one together this year; I didn't really listen to much new music. Although most of the stuff I did check out, showed up on your list :)

Totally agree on No Said Date. Top 5 Wu solo releases for me. Thanks for the list, caused me to revisit Men and Twin Shadow.

While Last.fm stalking you, I learned of Ride. These guys rock. The remind me of SwerveDriver.

Appreciate the list dude, I'm checking out Active Child right now. You like the Jenny Hval album? I thought it was quite brilliant.

I did enjoy, and comment, very good list as always. I've read my shout from 9 months ago, and I was bang on the nail. Cheers!

Hey. Cheers for commenting on my journal. Have you heard Mascis' Several Shades Of Why yet? It's absolutely beautiful. (And I get to hear him perform it in a couple of weeks, woot!). It will take something very special indeed for it not to be my #1 album 9 months from now. Hope you are good. Cheers!

Wild charts! All over the map. Good to see a fellow Pittsburgher with a schizo taste in music.

Absolutely fantastic list! Even those that don't make it in to my top 10 would be close contenders. Cheers!

I have recently come across a couple mislabeled songs on the Last.fm radio. The last one was mislabeled to he Eric Copeland from Black Dice. But the song was correctly named "Thats all there is." There is no song on Copeland's Aphrodite by that name. It was a Jesus Freak song. I smell a conspiracy. Let me know if you come across any such songs. Peace and enjoy the studying.

Hey man...not sure if you're still into the heavy stuff, but I found Duck Duck Goose listening to the Norma Jean station (they were one of the earlier bands at Mayhem Festival last weekend) and I've been completely blown away by how awesome they are. http://www.last.fm/music/duck+duck+goose

Glad you liked 'em! Pet grief is a lovely album, but Clinging to a Scheme has the edge. When it first err, leaked, it was met with quite a bit of negativity. Something which I never understood; the album is slightly different from their previous stuff, not quite as smooth and sweet. Yet benefits from that. I just think everything they have produced is beautiful, melancholic, and dreamy. Cheers!

Cheers for the recs. Vivian Girls are great, and I forgot I was seeing them locally in January! At least I've heard them now... I'm still getting to grips with Mount Eerie, Wind's Poem is rather a complex album, but I'm getting there.

Yo Omar, Mastodon may be the best music to listen to when writing a research paper. Just got Blood Mountain, so now I gonna switch up, yo! MetaMessage: Parenthetical clauses at the start of incomplete and using "yo" ad nauseum, thank you Pitt Law for the Skillz!

I have had a hard time getting into Iggy, but right now I am on a singer kick. Notice that Bjork is climbing my list like a demon. I have fallen in love with her again. I wish her and Iggy and Bowie would have a kid together!

My favourite Dino album without a doubt, is Green Mind. It's just so mellow and beautiful. That's not to say I dislike the noise factor from them, far from it :) I think Farm is a pretty awesome album too!

Man. I am loving the shit-out-of Transformer and Wavves. Thanks. I need more time with JJ to get the hang of them.

Hey you:) My latest obsession - sorry discovery - is the outrageously beautiful Hey Kid, Remember album by Andrew Morgan. It's just gorgeous stuff, mellow and wistful. I can't get enough of it right now. And it's always good to return to old music; bands not listened to for a while. Yesterday it was Beastie Boys and The Jayhawks. Both great in their own way! Any new recommendations? Cheers!

I haven't really hears any S'pore music yet. All they really have her is Brian Adams and Mr. Big. Speaking of which, Mr. Big's reunion tour is coming to S'pore. So you had better book your plane ticket now!
