Elvis' music killed off the crooner movement. But as you don't listen to much music from the 50s I'll forgive you for that. I did discover a band that sound like Cream the other day, so I was gonna point you towards them. Amanaz....they're a Zamrock band....psychedelic blues rock from Zambia from the 70s. I know, its a bit niche. Look up their song "History of Man" on the ol' YouTube. It doesn't fit with your normal metal tastes, but you liked Cream and it reminds me of them so thought I'd chuck it your way.

Haha, the heavy stuff is what got me into them too, but I love my Damnation equally. Not that big of a fan of Heritage. If they are to play just the clean stuff ( which is obvious) I hope they play more of the earlier ones
