Pitchfork hates any band any other website has heard of or doesn't give them 100 free passes every time they are in town, so a thumbs down from them doesn't mean much to me.. lol I will give the Crocodiles a definite look see... I think this next Sunday I might see the Helio Sequence. It's relatively cheap which is a plus in my book!

And Sonic Youth I remember seeing in 1991... I remember they started the song "Dirty Boots" about 5 times because while they were encouraging stage divers, the divers kept knocking out the wires and disconnecting Thurston's guitar and he was such a perfectionist, that he had to start over each time... lol -- That might a great show to revisit... Have to test the limits to my credit card limits... lol

X sounds good... I haven't ever seen them and Los Angeles is one of my favorite alltime complete albums. -- As for the Sleepover Disaster, they are a gazey band out of California that makes pretty music... Not quite as soft as Slowdive, but not quite as rocking as Ride. And the Manhattan Love Suicides, well, they're pretty much the Jesus And Mary Chain with a female lead. But even though they are derivative, they're still pretty darn good in my eyes...

Any shows coming in your future?

The one I want to go to is Twilight Sad/Mogwai in Birmingham in May....
