Well... I think it has something to do with Amerie's manager/bodyguard/boyfriend Lenny. It all began back in "Touch" album era (2005). Ever since Rich suggested her & label to release "Rolling Down My Face" as 2nd single (after 1st single "1 Thing") and they didn't listen to him and went with "Touch" (song), things between them two became cold. I don't know if that's the case..but her manager Lenny (who she's engaged to now) was in control of everything so he (fans believe) fucked up her relationship (whatever kind it was) with Rich. Before (back in 2002/03/04) she used to consider Rich Harrison as an important person in her life but right after Touch album (where half of the album wasn't produced by him) she kinda became more confident with herself.. So she probably thought she can do better without him. Well.. now you and me both know that didn't happened because she started flopping.. I really, deep down in my heart, believe that she will reunite with him again. Some day. Hopefully!

I know right! Back in 2001, on that McDonald's parking lot Amerie & Rich sat in his car and he played his beats to her...she instantly loved them so they decided to work together. And that's how it happened. I really wish they will work together in the future again because they have such a great musical chemistry!!!

LOL But it's real... that's why I love that song even more! BTW: Do you know actually that Amerie and her ex-fave producer Rich Harrison met on the McDonald's parking lot for the 1st time seeing each other ever. !

Animalistic is a bit weird. But I like it. It's totally different from everything she ever did. LOL But it's all The-Dream's fault. Actually, the production on that album is pretty impressive! But yeah.. IMO her 1st and 2nd albums are the best. Can't decide which one of them two I like better.

Which album? I highly recommend all her albums! She knows how to make a good RnB CD.
