You are however gonna be gutted when I take you up on that t next time something good is going down in Cardiff, which seems to be fairly frequently. No I'm from vaguely near Newcastle, I've just moved up here for uni. Are you originally from Cardiff? That doesn't sound like the most thrilling trip I have to admit, how was Basingstoke? We got the megabus down from Newcastle going via Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Leeds Manchester and Birmingham so it was like a nice little tour of the UK by the time we got to Cardiff! That Swnfest sounds awesome, it's great when there are a few you know but you can make loads of new discoveries. Are you going?

awesome, you can take him off your 'to meet' list now :) I think you most likely will have musical powers now. I'm sure that happened when I got my violin signed by my favourite folk band. That is a stroke of luck, and very handy, I think it took about 12 hours for me to get there! Worth it though. Sounds really nice, just moved to Dundee and its he same here, you just get into a lot of smaller local bands who usually tend to actually be really good. What is Swn festival??

Sorry for the gratuitous length of that post, I have a tendency to ramble...

Cool, I misses TMOE, which I was pretty gutted about I think he was on around Mumford and Sons time which my friend really wanted to see. The Flaming Lips were incredible, never seen anything quite like it and Johnny Flynn was brilliant (though I missed his set in rough trade) I think my other highlights included meeting Zach Condon and Beirut in general and Billy Bragg. But just the festival as a whole was amazing, I know it's clichéd but it just had such a great atmosphere, I cannot wait for next year! Yup it is November, supposedly. If they've lied and got my hopes up I shall not be happy, mutiny in the Big British Castle! I'm very much looking forward to Joe's film though, it better be worth it. Keavney's poem was epic, they should definitely turn it into some sort of jingle...

Haha, well I do love random shouts =). I'm really loving A Larum too. I listened to it constantly last week until I got into Sigur Ros like mad and they jumped into my top 10. I'm a little upset that I didn't listen to Johnny Flynn a few months ago though because he was playing nearby with Mumford& Sons and Laura Marling, which probably would've been pretty ace.
