Similarly, it's nice to see someone with Boris and L.W.H. in their charts. I'm from Portland, OR ... I suppose I should add that to my info. We should share some files some time, I'm sure I have some stuff that'd interest you and vice versa. Do you have a Dropbox account?

Oh shit, please let us know as soon as those EPs are out. Your tracks have a very real melancholy to them...I shiver just imagining what they'll sound like with rap over them....oh by the way I adore East of the Sun and West of the Moon...are you planning anything else as The North Wind? And thanks again haha, well to be honest I don't give much thought to the structures of songs, which is probably why they end up all over the place XD I would like to try writing a more "focused" pop song, with verse, chorus etc, but at the moment my body seems to be begging me to just let go and let it take me wherever it wants, if that makes any sense haha. Also, I think I saw Garrett comment on the Coaltar of the Deepers Last.fm page, found his comment interesting, stalked his profile, from there I found Nono., and...damn. Zoom Lens was like discovering the materialisation of a dream, I was in a daze the first few weeks, in awe that a label like this actually existed. How did you discover them?

Oh wow, thanks man!! I think I've already listened to all of your stuff that's online and it all sounds like landscapes, or like the woods, it's insane...like Supercar mixed with singersongwriter folk. Fell in love instantly when I first heard it <3 I really like the beats you've been making too, are you planning on releasing some of those together as an EP or something? Or rapping over them? That'd be amazing. I'm glad you liked Release! To be honest, I'm already so sick of those tracks, I'm shit at mixing and spent too much time twiddling stuff just to get it to sound all carboardy and stale. I hope to get some monitors in the near future (and more experience) and solve that...still have a lot to learn! But thank you so much, it means a lot to me that you liked it...:)

hi buddy, seems like u into contemporary classical music - so may we should change some recommendations, what u think. i´m a big fan of györgy ligeti by-the-way / from the younger generation i admire wolfgang rihm big time. as well i do agree what u written about steve reich: u must open the bruise / till the blood come out / 2 show them!!! -- fuckin´ right... ...later the minimalistic scene become a bit a subcontractor 4 elevator muzakboxes, or shout i say: music 4 public toilets...hahahihi, all the best!!

First song I play by Steve Reich is one called "Come Out" and it's making me dizzy and giving me a headache!

yeah had a Tribe Called Quest album a couple of years ago but it didn't much appeal to me, will give another spin. We're promising a lot of listens here! I like some of the beats stuff like Madlib, James Pants and really digging Hype Williams at the moment too if that counts, just never really connected with hip-hop as much as other genres. Kanye MBDTF is great though.

datpiff, hiphop website names are hilarious, that genre seems to take itself so seriously all the time, maybe that's why I don't like it that much. Did listen to that Shabazz Places album for the first time this morning though and thought it was pretty great. Hapsburg Braganza <------- fantastic name! Also, The Belinda Butchers!!! That might just be the best thing I've ever heard! I will check them out when I get home- Not too sure of Manchester's underground scene, Gnod are good but I suppose the band who has rose most recently are WU LYF who are a bit shit. You don't have a facebook wall!

haha I like how dismissive you are of Wiz and say he's shit at rapping but come oooooon guys, benefit of the doubt, the guy's got a personality :P I just heard that song he did with Chris Brown in my mate's brother's car and almost pissed myself! You'd actually be surprised how little musical diversity the city had before MIE came, although I barely managed to make it to one of his shows (Saw Grouper and was turned away from Trouble Books due to age complications, but it's OK cos they sent me a signed record!), there aren't actually that many niche promoters. But I suppose it's to be expected, maybe there just isn't enough demand... The internet should have it's own cool venues that exist solely in computer-chip-space-land and put on really good shows! Nobody better steal that idea... Cheers for the Reich suggestion, I will get on it soon. You haven't added me by the way :P

I know! That's exactly how I feel! There was a promoter in Manchester called MIE but he's now moved back to London and I missed out on seeing Brothers Unconnected, Our Love Will Destroy The World, Tim Hecker, Lichens, Melt Banana and Dieter Moebius because I'm forbidden from going to gigs on my own :/ Only a couple more years! I can honestly say (oooooh don't wanna bruise this obscurity ego I've got goin on) that I've never listened to Steve Reich, got him on my iPod like. You got facebook brooo?

I'm considering them but I doubt my parents are going to let me wander round a forest in the lake district on my own! As for TUSK, I put I'm interested so I could remember what a fucking brilliant lineup it has and cry into a napkin about it :'((((

yeah, opera... my nightmare. oh crap, i wasn't thinking about imbruglia that moment. i don't think her voice blends with her music, it's more like personal thing about her. well, check out 'torn' (which is not her song btw) and maybe 'shiver' but even she could be annoying if you're not in the right mood.

yeah, so i have listened to those clips STILL not my thing, AND you know why? I suddenly realized - i don't like human voice. in any song. any voice. well, mostly to be honest, there is couple of good voices out there but they really blend into music and this is the opposite thing. it's about voice. so. i hope now you know me better, and have reason to not like me
