To return a compliment, I'm impressed at how much avant-garde jazz you listen to, as well as the fact that you probably listen to more Keiji Haino than anyone I've gotten to talk to in person. Love him!! It's also interesting how much other experimental and traditional Japanese music you listen to- I imagine you might hear his music in a more comprehensive context.

That's neat to hear about your interest in Circuit des Yeux. She lives here in Chicago now and I've gotten to see her live 5 or 6 times, and each time has been different. Her music has ranged from serene, hymnal and pastoral to ghostly distorted drones and cathartic vocal howls. She's a very unique artist in Chicago's local scene. I've brought friends to her shows and sometimes they're a bit turned off though. Their loss! I'd actually love to play music with her someday.

I think it's an inherent problem of how these music data programs work. For one, it favors number of listens which doesn't speak to qualitative enjoyment, effect of listening over time, or length of the piece itself. But also for listeners like you and me who are often seeking new and unfamiliar musical experiences, we might be considered less compatible for artists in common, when in fact I am *more* interested in people whose musical tastes lean towards the exploratory, the surprising, and the less predictable. Anyways, I respect and appreciate your taste and knowledge no matter what last.fm or any other marketing data analytic says!

Music is our special friend :) (!!) I would do that so , sometimes but because I'm not busy All time like you (Of course Not !! I'm just a student !) i try to use all of my attention during listening to music most of the times & I try my chance to feel & get to the deep of it ... btw there are genres of music with repetitive styles which is good for listening during work ... _ My fav finished books are : Solitaire Mystery by Jostein Gaarder , The Stranger by Albert Camus , The Metamorphosis by Frantz Kafka . I'm working on other books by these Authors too and i planned to read a lot of books until the end of my high school ! btw I'm a little slow on reading but this year is gonna be better ... For Movies : Yeah I've got lots to tell about it ( I would like to tell it another time) !! you should know that i'm just starting the most serious part of about my life !!! __ Are you living abroad ??

I like to try everything , But now a days more : Classical , Indie/alternative , soundtrack , ambient , electronic / trip-hop , jazz & .. any strange new things (!!) .. >> by the way schools are opening Tomorrow ! that would be hard for me to be active like i used be in my listening experiment ! ... i'm into books , cinema , photography , gaming too ...
