U know, now I'm wathing a movie about Edit Piaf, one of the greatest female vocalists ever. an actress who played her is fabulous, but during the movie I ask myself the same question. if we watch this just as a movie, like a fiction, this is just a story about great singer. but if we realize that she was a real person who's life lasted at about 48 years, how can someone..

well, it's a big question-if it's necessary to show private live of great people or better keep it in secret. on one hand people want to know the reason of his suicide and so on, on the other do we have a right to know such things?has the director right to show the facts with his own subjective attitude? we may only guess if it's close to the truth

maybe, but I guess even he smtimes smiled. this is one of disadvantages of this movie-strange to see rock stars acting that way(not only Ian,all of his band)they're too boring and calm.of course showing only that side of theis lives was director's idea, but it looks quite unnatural
