Do you like Foxygen? Their early work was a little too space rock for my tastes, but when We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic came out in '13, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Kevin Parker, but I think Sam France has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '14, Foxygen released this, ...And Star Power, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the danger of loveless relationships, and the importance of commitment, it's also a personal statement about the band itself!

Me too. I always have /g/ pulled up but only for the battlestation threads. Their memes are pretty dank. What's your favorite album from 1989?

Thank you. I found it better than expected for an obscure bandcamp musician. Favorite track: Assembling.

Cool, glad you liked it. Are you going to use the Universal Scrobbler to scrobble it?

If you like noise pop, you should check out Steve Burns. Songs For Dustmites is the album I'd recommend.

Yeah, I enjoyed Teebs. I didn't like it as much as Flying Lotus or Nosaj Thing, but I still liked it. Thanks!

Yes, I really liked Flying Lotus, the beats were sick. I'll be checking out more of his stuff. Tycho was nice, too, it'd be good music to listen to when I study. Thanks! Also, you should check out Revolution Void and Professor Kliq. I think you'd really like both of them.

I really like them, but I respect your opinion. Anyways, what albums would you recommend by the instrumental hip hop artists?

I'm glad you enjoyed General Fuzz. Anyways, I've already heard some Boards of Canada, but I did not enjoy it. After Googling Flying Lotus, I see he did some of the Adult Swim bumper music...I'll have to check him out. I'll check out the other artists soon, too. By the way, I'm sure you're already familiar with them, but do you like Kraftwerk?
