some yamaha hs80 monitors. they're not the most pleasant sounding speakers but theyre powerful and with certain stuff they sound gorgeous. but theyre meant to be plainly accurate so they dont really make things sound any nicer than how they are recorded. i wish i had a more proper straight listening system of some sort but i cant complain. only issue is the bass is only real strong when im standing at an odd point in my room. at my chair its a bit weak but still sufficient, but if im trying to do some "serious" mixing i have to stand in that spot to hear what the bass is, at least more accurately, really doing.

thought more would happen in the new xx album. love the first one, though.
