Haha that's alright! As well as Kevin and Jesse I've interviewed a few artists here and there, some notable ones are Death Cab for Cutie (not Ben Gibbard though, unfortunately!), Anti-Flag, Josh Pyke, Joshua Radin...and then a whole bunch of random ones who I don't even really like but it's still good fun! I'm kind of embarrassed to think back on my 15-year-old days, I thought I was pretty awesome but in retrospect...yeahhhhh...haha. Brand New is really the only 'emo'-ish band that I still have an interest in from those days that goes beyond nostalgia, the rest I don't care much about any more except for when I feel like being 15 again.

that it will i've always found taking back sunday are a better band than brand new recent records haven't been but they just have more appeal to me lyric and soundwise. tell all your friends is probably one of my favorite records of all time also.

Rolling Stone was amazing, I was a wide-eyed student then so it was really, really exciting. They were more than accommodating to me and I did my first band interview while I was there, with Youth Group - and it was face-to-face as well, in their studio! It was such a great experience and is actually the only face-to-face interview I've ever done haha. I like a lot of bands, you can see which ones from my profile - but my favourite in the whole world is Simon & Garfunkel (I know I'm an old man), and close behind are Brand New, Radiohead, Pavement, Ryan Adams, The Smiths and a whole bunch of others. Thank you for saying that I seem interesting! I certainly don't think so but I'm glad I don't bore you to tears haha. You seem very mature for your age, I wish I'd have been like you when I was in year 10!

it was defiantly an amazing show, im glad you enjoyed yourself and at the barrier lucky. i enjoyed the Melbourne show 20 million times better, i was really close to the front had an awesome view, and brand new oh gosh they played mix tape and the showe scene and limousine at the melbourne show! and it was just jesse playing limousine by himself. gosh it gives me shivers just thinking about it. and in play crack the sky k devine walks across the stage and turns of jesse's guitar and jesse just starts laughing and says thanks for ruining of 2 hours of a good show and k devine sings the rest of the song with jesse was brilliant.

Music writing was always a dream for me and I never thought I'd make it, but I have and it's great. My first magazine experience was a two-week work experience thing with Rolling Stone at the end of my first year of uni and it was unbelievable, I look back on it now and still have to pinch myself!

Tommy Gun was great, it made me cry haha. Unfortunately there was a drunken douchebag girl behind me howling along to every.single.song and she made it a bit hard for me to enjoy myself sometimes, for example during No Seatbelt when all I could hear was her intoxicated wail. OH MY GOD. I thought Archers was awesome too, and Jesus and all the YFW stuff. I write for Drum Media and have for about a year now, it's pretty sweet because it means that I don't really pay for gigs much any more (I did pay for BN but for a lot of them my name is on the door list for me to do reviews), and yeah I get to talk to some pretty cool people! I'm guessing you are in school, year 10 or so?

I have an insane history with Brand New hah, it all began in 2003 and I won backstage passes to their show with Blink 182 in 2004 and then it got cancelled and I was devastated but I got a signed poster instead! They've been one of my favourite bands for a really long time so it's always nice to see them. And as for Kevin, I saw him at Soundwave in 2008 and then also on Wednesday night, when he dedicated a song to me <3 haha aww. I've also interviewed both him and Jesse, which is one of the many perks of writing for a music magazine! Wow I sound like I'm bragging now, I'm sorry! You know I've seen BN four times and still never heard The Quiet Things live, which is such a joke seeing as it was my first song from them :( I wish I'd seen them before Devil & God came out, but their first tour here was the one that got cancelled. Sigh. So there are 4 Deja songs I've never heard live :( luckily I have a recording of that first show I went to of theirs, so I'll always remember it <3

Hi! No, that wasn't me unfortunately - I had a front section ticket, but none of my friends did so I stood with them in the back section next to the sound desk. Don't worry though, you didn't make a fool of yourself - I've done the same thing a million times! It was the fourth time seeing Brand New and the third time seeing Kevin for me. I had a good time, but to be honest seeing BN always makes me kind of sad - they were "my band" when I was growing up, and things are so different now and it makes me really, really miss being a teenager, and I can't ever get that back, nor can I get the feeling of them being my little secret back, you know? I'd have liked more Deja material as well, and I didn't think some of the Daisy stuff was very good live. Sound wasn't excellent either. But overall, despite all my complaints, I still had a great time - can never be too sad when my soul brothers are around! Did you enjoy the show? Was it your first? Wow...essay comment from me.

haha yess! i loved kevin. such an incredible opening act, i honestly regret not going to see him night before. i missed out on getting any merch at all :(:(:( so friggen bummed. i thought the stall was near the entrance and when i got out i couldn't be bothered going back in and the asshole guard wouldn't let me in through the exit even though it wasn't busy Y_Y. aww. public transport to the roundhouse is pretty efficient. i only wish it were somewhere else like the metro. the roundhouse is such a shitty venue.
