I'm loving "Step" and "Diane Young" from their 3rd album.. I really think "Step" is my song of the year so far, it's great. All the references, the sample, the imagery of New York as the girl it's fabulous.. Got to give them credit on that.

Hey man, I was gonna write a full blown review like, next week sometime anyhow, I did want to cover this album it's just a bit premature for me to pass judgement atm, only given it a few listens. Can't quite work out whether I enjoy it yet or not; there are loads of little nuances that sound fantastic but I'm still not 100% sold on the sound as a whole, cant put my finger on it. Typical Schnauss really, lol, takes me a while to digest his stuff.

I'm an absolute mess right now... Villagers, i'm sure you have seen the adverts or the average reviews.. Do you want it or shall I? I think it needs to be covered really, even if the vocals frustrate me.

I don't feel like giving M83 an exceptionally high score for the 2011 album, but the more I listen the more things Im hearing, it's brilliant.

Well Grimes was a difficult one, but the rawness and overall vocal passion just makes me blow. Which is why I gave her album a 'very' high score. Nothing else this year has really swayed my general opinion yet, Nothing to catastrophic. Just follow the normal guidelands and compare/contrast with similiar albums and if it sounds better and feels better.. Then it's better. The 8.4 is fine.
