That's good. Yeah, it definitely felt like a rolling type of earthquake down here as well. It's too bad that people got hurt and all those historic buildings in Napa were damaged, but I suppose we're lucky the epicenter wasn't in a more densely populated area. The branch fault has been marked by the USGS as a potential hazard zone for the near future. Shades of Loma Prieta, when we had that fairly large earthquake in the middle of the night, a couple of months before. I don't mind them so much, but I hate it when they occur in the middle of the night. It's creepy.

Did you enjoy all the "excitement" this morning? Hope everything's OK up your way. I know you're pretty much right on top of the epicenter. 6.0!

Hey Doc, What's the news with our TBK game on the (Dis)Order forum? I was rather enjoying it, and sort of miss playing. Do you have any other online version of the game going, where I might be able to join in? Anyway, hope all is well!

Haha, I don't know. Where I live we get quite a few tornadoes. Though none of 'em are (usually) that bad in this city because we're on a bit of a plateau and so they kind of slope away from us. So about where are you now? It does sound like a nice climate. I hate the humidity, and I think I'd much rather have earthquakes than tornadoes (or hurricanes for that matter, which is definitely a major reason that I'm hesitant to go certain places out east.)

I grew up in small towns in Idaho. I lived in Sheridan, OR for about a year, but only got to see the ocean in person once :( I've always wanted to go back to that area, though. Or even some parts of California (though I've never been). Lately, Alex and I have been discussing the possibility of going out east, too, though. At this point, we're aiming for anywhere not in the Midwest, lol. We certainly don't have very good climate here. So what's the climate like where you're at, that makes it so good? :)

Haha, I've always been morbidly curious about Rocky Mountain Oysters, but never had a chance to try 'em. I've always been pretty conservative in my food choices, but now that I'm a bit older (and obsessed with cooking/traveling shows), I feel like I might be more adventurous as long as I had a reasonable assumption that what I was eating would be delicious :P

Hey Doc, what was the download site you used to source the "Essential 96" tracks? I know it is in a thread somewhere but dammed if I can find it. Thanks in advance.

I'm really sorry to hear that about your brother-in-law. That's just horrible :( And so sadly unsurprising, in a weird, fucked up kind of way. I definitely question the system. Actually, I pretty much reject it all together x) The way people are being subjugated... It's just... wrong. And it's been wrong for a long time. And it's always the good guys that are hurt the most. I sincerely hope things get better for your family.

Wow. The artwork is nice yet not too exquisitely detailed or according to other readers, 'busy' I'm limited to buying locally though because of the excess shipping costs and a certain incident with Amazon. (Bottomline is it took more than half a year to get a refund and a failure of delivery notification from them). The Deviant Moon deck is pretty interesting. I liked the artwork most on the Gothic Tarot but everything is too dark themed for my IMO, so I' still torn apart on which of those two to buy.

What's up doc? I didn't want to high jack the 'Guess something about the person below me' thread so I'll drop you a shout instead- regarding tarot cards, who would've though you have a few decks huh? I thought you were all about the geeky science stuff lol. The reason why I asked is I'm intrigued to buy a deck. I'm more interested in the artwork than the actual reading or any cartomancy and prediction stuff though.

I think it's awesome that you're making a top 500 albums page. Good luck with that. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

There was going to be a tour as well, but they canceled it when Tony was diagnosed with lymphoma.

I thought of letting you know through here - unfortunately I don't have a copy of that track as I only listen to it through Spotify. I hope you can find it somewhere (that Deezer thing?), if not, maybe Proxi will let me change my pick so we can get them all together haha.

I remember (barely) there being a rather large earthquake....must have been around 78 or 79? Nothing on the scale of Loma Prieta though. That was pretty wild! Afterwards it was eerily quiet, except the civil defense alarms which were still going off hours later. We had a pretty big one in the middle of the night, about 2 months before. Wasn't as bad, just really creepy.

Well, that's good at least. The other day I could smell the smoke all the way down here on the Peninsula, so I was wondering what it was like up there. Were you still in Washington during the Mount St Helens eruption? There was so much ash in the atmosphere that even down here it was very hazy.

Hahah, sweet. I got to try them a couple of years ago when living on the other side of the country. There I met this half-Finnish half-Tanzanian guy who's mother had fried a bag full of them. At first I had no idea what I was eating but once I figured it out I just had a good laugh. I wish I could have some again.

Hey I just noticed your confession about the grasshoppers on the (Dis)Order forums - I agree! Actually one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten haha.

Eclectic is good, thank you. I feel right at home. I picked up some good adds to my library. There were several artists I will be looking into further... like Prisma for example.

Greetings, fellow Old Guy. Thanks for the shout-out! Yes, we're living proof there is no age limit to enjoying music that shakes the walls, irritates the neighbors, exercises the mind, digs down to the core and weaves its way into your soul. And we're not alone; I'm still in touch with old bandmates from the 70s who live the same way. To echo you: KEEP ON ROCKIN', brother.
