i agree with you about Hell 3AM, it feels like he's sort of halfway to somewhere right now. clearly he's interested in producing music closer to his chest but since he started as a distant and mysterious producer who made alienated tunes he has to learn how to be close and vulnerable from scratch, that's what Cold and NYCH3AM feel like. an example: you catch those cuts of automated reading voice tossing out hashtag phrases and they feel like they're included out of attachment to his past work instead of existing relevant to the present work's topic. that's to say it seems out of place to have those elements in an album which lacks the impersonal stylish elements that he explored as Bodyguard or with FSV. haha i could go on about this shit 4ever JF is a topic in and of himself

NYC Hell 3AM sounds like a darker Cold and i think his recent work would be getting better reception if he hadn't started out as a sound experiment artist, but i noticed that pop culture minded experimentalists seem to drift towards pop as they mature as artists the same thing happened with Trztn Bechet of Flux Information Sciences and Lopatin to an extent

I have sadfly to thank this time for giving me the K2 releases! I actually really like Chameleon Ballet. I haven't listened much to Ferraro's side projects. I'm still trying to tackle his main discography first, haha! I'm considering buying Multitopia and Chameleon Ballet on vinyl from the Old English Spelling Bee store.
