Sometimes I give a simple explanation, but the true story is far more terrible!!: So basically, I was standing there in the street, when the Hells Angels rolled up on me. (You see, we're old enemies) Their leader got off his chopper and stepped up to confront me. "Whatcha doin' punk?" He asked me, but the only answer I gave him was spit in his face. He tried to punch me, but I ducked out of the way and with a clever karate move I spun around and propelled my heel into his nose, knocking him out. Then, the other guys went ballistic and came at me with weapons! I had to fight them all at the same time, but with my Japanese warrior monk training I bested them all barehanded. I didn't get away spot free though, as they gave me a nasty scar on my knee from when I had to kick an rpg rocket away from a group of babies. The first letters of their names are the letters to "Askmeaboutmybio", so I decided to add spaces and use it as my bio as a warning to my enemies.

VdGG to joost is a big jump. Joost should do a 24 minute song about a descent to madness. Name it A Plague Of Eurovision Rejects.

Worst part about loving Peter Hammill is how many seeminly shit albums he made. WHY MR HAMMILL!??!! I want to rip the tongue out of people that call him pretentious, but a good chunk of his 80s and 90s albums are seemingly just that. I haven't listened to all his stuff yet (there are like 50 "albums" lol) but I feel like I'm just going to get dissapointed the more I dig into his less popular discography. I need to put him behind me and focus on new music before I end up mad with grief. Recs are very welcome!

i don't recommend loops and reels or spur of the moment unless you're into VERY experimental sounds...they're really not my thing. i love his 70's albums, although haven't explored all of them since they're out of order on spotify. i think in camera, the silent corner and the empty stage, and patience are my favourites.

I guess I'll have a better listen to Patience then, 'cause I've heard it maybe 1/2 times. In Camera is also my favorite, but Silent Corner is also an immense album.

You like 2066&then right? Well, a few months ago I actually got in contact with the guy who did the guitars for You Are Under My Skin [Thomas Klama] and he has shared with me another prog band Steve Robinson [2066&then's keyboardist/ organ player, also did vocals for You Are Under My Skin] has been in. Thought I'd share it with you :3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M661fyooUpw&list=PLGa8OYCjIXWqhKkZouN7h93-cjiBXNt1H&index=13&pp=gAQBiAQB8AUB I've also got another band Steve Robinson was in, found out about it through Thomas as well, super jazzy and all, quite beautiful to be honest https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGa8OYCjIXWraXtarR9SxPXEXESmcDzn_ also, take this version of Cressida's "Depression" I stumbled across, it's super nice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdkmcXdulk4&list=PLGa8OYCjIXWqhKkZouN7h93-cjiBXNt1H&index=3 Super random, I know, but you are like the coolest person on last.fm and I thought you'd like these

Holy shit? Thank you so much, this shit slaps! I love weird obscure prog more than anything! Chrismas came early this year I guess :) So awesome how you managed to contact him! Have you spoken to Geff Harrison also? I saw a tiktok about him a few years ago about how he was singing for his street during the corona lockdown. I love his voice so much, but somehow never realized he didn't sing on You Are Under My Skin. Thank you!

I don't know if prog is worse than nazi dance music, but it's certainly more of a war crime. Also yes, 2066&Then is pretty great.
