it's doubling scrobbles of songs several days after I've listened to them I'm going insane

I see I'm not the only one who gets double scrobbles since yesterday

PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!!!!

what I'm seeing right now since yesterday. it's more like a Spotify problem right now. Because when I saw my Spotify stats and airbuds, the songs that I played early, are just now registering, so last.fm are duplicating those scrobbles. It's annoying.

Getting at least triple scrobbles. Very annoying. Please fix!

i got so many duplicate scrobbles yesterday that i ended up with over 500 scrobbles in one day, in reality i probably listened to 200-300. the extra ones keep overlapping whatever im already listening to:/

im gonna lose my mind bc of this issue it has been going on for days at this point

yeah i'm getting duplicates of multiple songs in succession, it's sometimes hard to know if it's lastfm duplicating as usual or if i actually listened to those songs multiple times bc the duplicates aren't immediately after the real one. super annoying

Hi, so I’ve been using last.fm since last year and there was never this problem, not once. Since last week only it started that all seems to be working fine, then I come back the next day I see doubling scrobbles but in this weirdest way possible. Like let’s say last night I was listening to three different albums, it showed on my profile properly and then the next day it still shows but then all these songs from these three albums srobbled again in this not even right order or anything. Like it’s all mixed up in a crazy way, but doubled, yes. Does anyone know what to do about this? So far I was just deleting those fake messy scrobbles but if this is some issue that will keep happening, I’d love to have other solution than just deleting wrong scrobbles every time. Thanks!

I think what's happening is that when you listen to music on Spotify in one device and then open Spotify on another after some time, the songs you listen to on the other device are added to the listening history of the new one and last.fm counts that as scrobbling all of the songs again, at least in my case

Every time I listen to one song, it scrobbles 10 other songs that I have scrobbled before during the last week

It seems that the app doesn't compute the moment the next track starts, so the previous track keep scrobbling on the app as if you still listening to it. Even when i pause the song or exit spotify, the scrobble keeps on. I've tried to log out of the desktop app, keeping loggeg in only on mobile. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You have to access the app everytime to make sure the scrobble is correct, and once you access it the right song starts scrobbling, but that's not the point of the app. I don't want to keep an eye on my scrobbles by myself, that's lastfm's whole point lol. It just takes out the spontaneity of it all and it kinda suuuuccckkkkssss.
