It's rough to say this is better than Ulver. If the sentiment is that Ulver have declined since DOS' acquisition, then I can see your point. Wars of the Roses was a pretty weak record and whatever they've got brewing is going to be under the long shadow of Shadows of the Sun (no pun intended, the sun is hard to run from). Ulver's back catalog still outclass most of what he's put out when it comes to downtempo, ethereal music. I think Mothlite is going in the right direction with this so long as they try to theme their albums as they have.

Sorry but, for me, appart from being great, this guy has the greatest collection of related artists ever.

Dark Age is brilliant. Starts off a bit slow but once it gets to the midway point of the album every song is gold.

Ironically i think TFOR is darker and more ambient, Dark Age seems to have a huge pop influence whilst maintaining a quirky darkness. Both brilliant.

I retract my statement about TFOR being better than Dark Age. Both albums are incredible in their own ways.

Loving Dark Age. I prefer Flax, but the new direction is nice. Makes me anticipate Miracles full length.

I honestly think The Flax of Reverie is the most underrated (or unrated) record of the last five years.
