Long, limber lines that float into forever. Tripping deep house tunes that transcend time. Smooth, supple synths holding you in their hypnotic spell. Vocals and great bass line.
Ave's first EP for Menomale Records is a excellent debut, with "Ad Astra" coming in above the others here by virtue of its 8-minute length. The light, funky deep house that Ave has been putting out shines when given time to stretch out properly. It's as though it—and "Funky heroes" and "Tout ira bien"—are unspooling their sound into the stereo and you simply have to follow along.
