No, I have a traditional Michelin road map of Spain and Portugal, printed on paper, and held together with a spiral. It's a bit old, but it seems to work, which is more than I can say for all those modern electronic contraptions. The latest thing on the car is that the speedometer has packed in. It goes for a while, but then just goes down to zero. This modern speedometer is connected to the mileometer, so our journey to Granada was approximately 2.6 Kms, and we hoped that in this way the petrol consumption would be somewhat reduced. However, such wishful thinking was in vain.

I was far too busy in my post as First Navigation Officer to be fiddling round with solitaire.

It was somewhat strenuous. 7 hours car journey there. 7 hours car journey back. Anyway, MiL was happy to see us.

No, it hasn't got a green head, no, but according to the propaganda it's lemon yellow (so quite close to green) with fine bubbles. Clean and bright with an abundant release of carbon, with fine aromas of citrus fruits (there your green limes come in), and mixed nuts.It's prolonged aging gives a good structure in the mouth, but with a fresh and soft bottom. Don't ask me what fresh and soft bottom is, but anyway, overall, it's a sort of yellowy greenish essence nicely presented in a green bottle with the words "Freixenet Brut Barroco" in silver letters on a black background.
