Well, I recently downloaded S' debut (I couldn't purchase it anywhere, otherwise I would have) and I must say I think she's nice as a solo artist but to fill a whole album she's the piece of the puzzle that's called Carissa's Wierd. Don't get me wrong, I like the songs on her debut. Still only a few stand out and those few still lack quality in comparison with 'So You Wanna Be A Superhero', 'To Be There Now' and 'Sophisticated Fuck Princess'. Maybe I should check out her other albums before making a conclusion (because they each sound a lot different from what I've heard so far) even though I don't think I'll ever prefer S over Carissa's Wierd. A little magic detail from CW is that the voices of Jenn and Mat really seem to reinforce each other when singing together. It's just wonderful, I hope I will be able to ever find a band like that again.

Sorry, my reaction comes 2 months late =) "Yes. Definitely. Carissa's Wierd's my favorite band of all time, if that wasn't already painfully obvious." It's certainly not painfully obvious, more like refreshingly obvious. One of the best bands around . I know there's always that little feeling burning inside of me, but most of the time it practices a full year sleep. Bands like Carissa's Wierd wake that feeling up and remind you why you can never stop keeping your eyes open for art as beautiful as the combined action of Matt Brooke, Jenn Ghetto and others.
