Oh, hey, wow! It is working! All the new "recently listened" songs are from my phone! (Which, incidentally, contains all of my present music collection, approximately fifteen-hundred songs.)

I like the idea of Scrobbling music, mostly so that my style will be updated here and people can see all of the stuff I listen to. I have the N7Player on my cell phone. Perhaps I will attempt to use the scrobbling feature. Oh, if you ever have the time, please tell me the evolution of your own musical taste.

Incidentally, I noticed you listened to Wuthering Height's songs, "I Shall Not Yield" and "Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night)" and did not "love" either. How can a lover of power metal not adore these two brilliant masterpieces?

The website was perfect. The reviewers there appreciated the same things I did: Catchy melodies, intricate guitar work, high speed, high energy and great singing, whether it be super high, an attractive voice or simple technical prowess in every aspect, the reviewers liked what I liked, and if one reviewer did not like something that I liked, then another reviewer did. I could fairly confidently trust their reviews and lack of real bias. (For instance, Dragonforce is typically regarded as a "terrible" band, but this website ranks their albums 4/5, stating that they are speedy, exciting power metal, and that's just the plain truth of the matter.) Having discovered a way to ascertain exactly what bands and CDs are good, I did not need the Scrobbler, anymore, and I have not yet found a good method of scrobbling the music I do listen to, since I mostly listen using my phone. (With an amp, of course, and a good set of headphones) So that is my life's story.

I went on a quest to find other bands in this glorious genre of music that could inspire a sense of awe and energy that I had quite simply never heard before. Even my favorite rock music amazingly did not produce this feeling of magnificence. I found Cellador, Timeless Miracle and some others, but the problem was that I simply was not accustomed to such complex music, and it was difficult for me to appreciate it. Much of it sounded like dissonance to me, and it was months before I could listen to and enjoy an entire Dragonforce guitar solo. My tastes developed and refined. I discovered Blind Guardian, Twilightning, Solar Fragment, Sabaton and others via Last.FM. I downloaded the Scrobbler and if I found a song that I liked, I "loved" it and then banned it from play. It was a tedious process that often gave me terrible results. I needed something more expeditious. That is when I discovered Metal CD Ratings.com. It is, obviously, a review site, focusing on the power metal genre.

In the past, I discovered new music exclusively via Last.FM. My first genre of music was gospel, then a sort of mix of gospel and choir music. Then it was Bluegrass, which I loved. Then I discovered rock music. Or pop-rock as it might be called. At the time, I was too young to comprehend things like "complexity" or "technical playing" or musical arrangements: All I knew is that rock music had good melodies, fast songs and awesome singers. Bands I liked and initially enjoyed are the Offspring, Sum 41, Blink 182, Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance, Creed, and later it was Zebrahead, Linkin Park, New Found Glory, Relient K, Mest, Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Save Ferris and others. Then one fateful day I asked a person on AIM, "What do you listen to when you wanna get REALLY pumped? Something fast and exciting." He showed me my first taste of complex music that still retained the energy of rock: Dragonforce. It was power metal. My musical taste has never been the same.

It was not my intention to be contentious. I didn't mean to be pointing a finger at you and saying, "Nah-nah-nah-boo boo, your top band is not as good as certain other bands within the same genre!" It was more a springboard for conversation: Your top is Nightwish, how did that happen? Is it your personal favorite or have you been listening to it a lot lately? Anyway.

I'm surprised that Nightwish, of all bands, is your very top band overall. Sure, good band, but I would not say that they are better than, say, Wuthering Heights!

Para mi gusto personal...Quebrantahuesos es de las más flojitas del disco. El disco tiene de todo, temas de doble bombo rápido, temas a medio tiempo, melodía, fuerza, etc....Y para mi esta no representa todo. Gracias por escucharlo :)

Well. that's obviously impossible, It's so hard to find band sings in Arabic with arabic word :D, but these bands I gave it to you are really good, and there are some great songs by them.. you won't be disappointed I promise you :D.. so I see you're expert in all Power metal sub-genres :) that's what I love, cuz I really need some recommendations about Symphonic "epic" power metal like Rhapsody of Fire :D
